Position Overview:
This is an entry-level role focused on diagnosing, fixing, and installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and various types of pumps, including centrifugal and positive displacement models.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Technicians are tasked with troubleshooting and repairing both AC and DC electrical systems. This includes reading schematics and utilizing electrical testing tools such as volt-ohm meters, amp meters, and oscilloscopes.

Our entry-level technicians are expected to have a foundational understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and contribute effectively through preventative maintenance systems and work order management.

Equipment Proficiency:
Maintenance Technicians should possess the ability to work on a variety of equipment within the facility, including operating lathes, mills, and both arc and Heliarc welders for repair and fabrication tasks.

Work Environment:
While you will initially be employed by Frito-Lay, this position can lead to broader career opportunities within our parent company, PepsiCo. The nature of the work can vary daily based on operational needs, and hours may differ by assigned location. Be prepared for a loud environment, as our manufacturing facilities are expansive. Temperature control in our warehouses is limited, and working conditions can be influenced by seasonal changes.

Essential Skills:
Our Maintenance team excels in two critical areas:

  • Expertise in high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)
  • Multi-craft maintenance and repair, which involves performing interrelated repairs on both electrical and mechanical systems

Qualifications:
