Job Opportunity

This position supports the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. As a representative of International SOS, the successful candidate will provide high-quality urology surgery services, meeting or exceeding Joint Commission, VA, and national standards.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves:

  • Providing full-range urology operative services.
  • Offering consultative services, including 24/7 on-call coverage, for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Documenting findings, initial diagnoses, and treatment plans for inpatients.
  • Covering clinics, including scheduled operating days, and participating in on-call rotations.
  • Approximately 18-20 patients per clinic and 3-5 procedures per surgical session.
  • 10% of workload dedicated to administrative tasks.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • A current, full, and unrestricted medical license in one or more states.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility by the American Board of Urology Surgeons.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent.
  • A DEA License.
  • Previous VA or Military experience is strongly preferred.

Education and Physical Requirements

The candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent, accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Other Special Qualifications

The successful candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, willing to relocate to the project site for the duration of the contract, and possess VA Public Trust Clearance and pass the VHA credentialing process.
