Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor & Project Technician to join our team at UPMC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our floors and carpeted areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize floors and carpeted areas, including emergency spill clean-up requests.
  • Inspect and report any problems or issues with assigned areas to the supervisor.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting any issues to the shift supervisor.
  • Remove soil, wax, and sealer from hard-surface floors, using chemicals and solutions as per the department Tech Manual.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of previous job experience in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of the 5-week EVS training program.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Act 34 clearance.
