We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Per Diem Healthcare Professional. In this role, you will provide direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Butler Hospital policies and procedures, and the RI Nurse Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning for patients.
- Coordinate psychiatric and/or medical emergencies to ensure the individual in crisis is properly cared for and all other patients are safe.
- Assume the role of Charge Nurse for the shift, administering medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless patient care and unit responsibilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (B.S.N.) required.
- Current Rhode Island nursing license.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience.
New employees will undergo comprehensive training, including 4 days of day shifts in the first week and 3-4 shifts per week thereafter, without weekends or holidays.
Per diem positions require a commitment of 6 shifts per month, including 2 weekend shifts.
Our hospital offers competitive compensation packages, with an estimated salary range of $ $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
