Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Biller to join our team at GERARDO QUINONEZ M D P A in Boynton Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full revenue cycle medical billing and the skills necessary to improve our current billing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post medical charges into medical billing software to meet daily and monthly goals
  • Claims management and evaluation of payments, denials, and appeals
  • Coordinate with clinics to ensure all outstanding bills are collected
  • Data entry of patient demographics and input charges accordingly
  • Ability to appropriately assign modifiers
  • Medical reimbursements
  • Initiate refunds for patients
  • Various billing and collections functions to ensure accurate and timely claim processing
  • Confirm patient benefits and insurance
  • Follow-up on late or missed payment notices
Requirements:
  • Previous Medical Billing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Billing Certificate a bonus
  • Possess knowledge of billing software (Med-Clarity/Avisena a plus)
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in medical coding/billing
  • Professional, Single-specialty, Radiology coding experience
  • Medical Practice billing experience including, familiarity with medical claims, explanation of benefits, coordination of benefits, medical claim denials and other medical claim correspondence
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage significant workload and to work efficiently under pressure, meeting established deadlines with minimal supervision
Work Environment:

Monday to Friday

Only full-time employees

Benefits: Health Insurance after 6 months or depending on candidate qualifications
