Job Summary:
Mac Incorporated is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of equipment and machinery in a factory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase and 4160V 3-phase motor control centers.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, calculate wire size and motor horsepower requirements for new installations.
- Assist in the installation, servicing, dismantling, rebuilding, and maintaining of Packaging Department machinery and related equipment.
- Locate and troubleshoot trouble-causing breakdowns of equipment and machinery.
- Perform precision electrical testing and use various electrical and mechanical tools.
- Lay out, cut, and install sheet metal guards, spouts, hoods, etc.
- Maintain a complete supply of spare parts and lubricate equipment.
- Operate production equipment as required.
Requirements:
- Journeyman Card
- Experience in heavy industrial/mining electrical maintenance practices
- Knowledge of solid state, soft start, and PLC controls
- Ability to lift 65# on a frequent basis
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
