Job Summary

United Rentals is seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance enterprise and ensure the safe and efficient repair of complex rental equipment. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate the activities of service technicians, train and supervise mechanical personnel, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the activities of service technicians to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Train and supervise mechanical personnel to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including work orders and electronic records
  • Diagnose and supervise the repair of complex rental equipment to ensure work is performed efficiently
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance of rental equipment, maintaining a clean and professional service vehicle
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; trade-school degree a plus
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills for a variety of systems
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
