Job Summary

The primary objective of this position is to ensure the safe and compliant operation of equipment and vehicles. As a Driver/Operator, you will lead crews to complete customer projects and work with Field Technicians on various tasks, including clean-ups, spills, and COVID and Hazmat Decon work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various heavy equipment and vehicles, including roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and liquid vacs.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with on-call responsibilities for emergency response.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
  • Accountability and punctuality are essential for this role.
  • Physically able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and lift over 50 pounds.
  • Maintain electronic vehicle logs (ELDs) and perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Requirements
  • CDL A or B with hazardous material and tanker endorsements.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and alcohol testing.
  • Pass a pre-employment background screening.
  • Pass the company's auto insurance qualifiers.
  • Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training.
  • Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.

To perform this job, the employee must have good interpersonal skills, be patient and tactful, and display an enthusiastic, cooperative, and friendly attitude at all times. The ability to communicate effectively with all employees, corporate staff, and executive management is essential.
