Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Assembly Assistant to join our team at Custom Air Products & Services, Inc. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who possess strong work ethics and a passion for fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the layout process by holding tape and rods, marking reference points as directed.
  • Safely load, stack, and transport stock, tools, dies, and work-in-progress by hand or truck.
  • Prepare workpieces for moving by crane or jib by attaching rope or grappling equipment as required.
  • Clean and scrape metal surfaces in preparation for fabrication, welding, painting, or shipping, utilizing scraping tools, abrasives, or solvent baths.
  • Apply paint to metal stocks using appropriate tools such as paintbrushes.
  • Collect and transport scrap materials from work areas as needed.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including drills, grinders, rivet guns, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two to four years of experience in sheet metal or fabrication.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $ $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
