Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our team at Chapman Management Group. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing the sales process from start to finish, showcasing our apartments, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales process from start to finish, including showing apartments, overcoming objections, and providing solutions.
  • Build rapport with prospective residents, complete guest cards, and adhere to fair housing laws.
  • Practice effective leasing and closing techniques, present community features, and follow up with prospective residents.
  • Respond to internet leads, log calls and visits, and maintain an acceptable closing ratio.
  • Complete lease applications, assist with application verification, and notify prospective residents of results.
  • Ensure new residents sign lease paperwork, assemble and distribute move-in packets, and accept deposits and rental payments.
Customer Service and Resident Retention
  • Maintain a positive customer service attitude and a professional atmosphere in the leasing office.
  • Optimize presentation issues, inspect community grounds, and report any service needs.
  • Inspect models and market-ready vacancies daily, walk vacants prior to move-in, and conduct move-in orientations.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, participate in resident retention and renewal programs, and maintain awareness of local market conditions.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent, prior experience in leasing, sales, or hospitality a plus.
  • Customer service experience a must, with strong sales and customer service abilities, and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record and auto insurance (if traveling to multiple properties).
