About the Role:

Nurse Practitioner is a key position at InGenesis where you will work closely with our clients to deliver high-quality patient care, addressing disease prevention and health promotion issues. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Advanced Care Specialist to join our team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • To perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnose and treat patients, provide follow-up consultations, and educate patients on preventive care and prescribed treatments.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical issues, diagnoses, and treatment options.
  • Request referrals for specialty services, labs, and tests as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
  • Collaborate with the medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • A Nurse Practitioner license in California.
  • A Basic Life Support Certificate (CPR).
  • One year of directly related experience is preferred.
  • Community or Public Health experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records software.

Certifications/Licenses:
  • A Current California registered nurse license.
  • A Current certificate as a nurse practitioner.
  • Certification from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • A State Office of Family Planning Certificate, if working in family planning program.
  • A Current Basic Life Support Certificate (CPR).

Physical Demands:
  • The ability to respond to medical emergencies, walk or jog if necessary.
  • The ability to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
  • The ability to assist patients exiting the building during an emergency (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self).
  • The ability to see, hear, and smell with or without aids if necessary.
  • The ability to lift, push, and carry 30 pounds.
  • The ability to stand on hard surfaces for long periods of time.
