Dishroom Attendant

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Dishwasher at Benihana - Anaheim. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our dishroom and ensuring that all tableware and kitchenware are properly washed and stored.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the dish machine to ensure sanitary wash cycles and report any functional or mechanical issues promptly.
- Monitor and maintain adequate levels of clean tableware and kitchenware to meet the needs of our dining room and kitchen.
- Keep the dishroom clean and organized, including the storage of clean and dirty dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Bag and haul dishroom trash to the dumpster at designated times.
- Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
- Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies in accordance with SDS.
- Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Requirements:
- Basic food preparation knowledge and previous experience in food preparation are preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, catering business, or hotel kitchen is highly desirable.
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
