Job Description

This position is accountable for managing complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas, including leading and directing a team of professionals. It requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve objectives.

This role involves applying in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions, demonstrating strong commercial awareness, and exercising control over resources, policy formulation, and planning. Excellent communication skills are required for negotiating internally, often at a senior level.

This position affects a sub-function and involves short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility includes people management, budgeting, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and budget approval.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owns long-term strategic view (3-5 years) and complete platform portfolio within their category / division.
  • Builds strong partnership with business stakeholders to drive strategic direction and investment decisions.
  • Owns development and communicates the long-term vision and goals that drive working backwards strategies for a portfolio of platform products.
  • Understands domain and competitive landscape; may lead company-wide decision making for the platform product domain.
  • Inspires a culture of test and learn experimentation and innovation to solve core business and end customer needs in the platform product domain.
  • Leverages customer research, feedback, competitive analysis, and industry trends to drive investment choices that will cultivate long-term innovation for the business and customer.
  • Owns test and learn roadmap to inform the platform product portfolio.
  • Owns organizational planning and serves as representative to Executives.
  • Compiles content for periodic Exec-level communications, reviews, and updates.
  • Continuously monitors KPIs of portfolio and reviews regularly with technology peers and business partners.
  • Primary interface with Business and stakeholders.
  • Makes trade-off decisions for category / division platform product portfolio.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a product line management, e-commerce, and/or strategic planning role.
  • Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models.
  • Thrived and succeeded in delivering high-quality technology products/services in a high-growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience managing a Tech Team.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills, including ability to identify and develop product management talent.
Estimated Salary Range

$184,300 - $272,900 per year.
