About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Commerce Data Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Commerce Engineering team, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and developing the tactical direction of our data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and develop intelligent prompting and notifications to meet customer needs
  • Collaborate with peers across Engineering, Product, Design, and Security to shape our product vision and build exciting end-user features
  • Architect data systems that process data at scale using Pinot, Postgres, Databricks, Kafka, and DynamoDB
  • Enhance and optimize existing services to improve reliability, scalability, and flexibility

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with one or more of: Scala, Akka, Play framework, Pinot, Postgres, Databricks, Kafka, Airflow, DynamoDB

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent

Estimated Salary Range: $129,300 - $223,600 per year, based on location
