Job Overview

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at ForeverCare, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to clients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your primary responsibility will be to assist with direct patient care, ensuring that clients receive the highest quality of service within the established care plan.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will encompass a variety of home care and domestic tasks aimed at enhancing the well-being of elderly and adult clients. These responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
  • Providing support with toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Meal preparation and nutrition assistance
  • Offering medication reminders
  • Performing light housekeeping duties
  • Managing laundry and linen care
  • Running errands as needed
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Current CNA certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Experience working with the elderly or adult population
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
Educational Background

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, along with completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program. CPR certification and current CNA certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing are also necessary.

Experience

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.

Work Environment

This position involves working in clients' homes, providing personalized care in a comfortable and familiar setting.

Job Type

This role is available on a PRN basis, with options for full-time and part-time schedules.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay starts at $17.00 per hour, with benefits including a flexible schedule and paid training opportunities.
