About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the Operating Room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient patient flow and timely completion of procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (NCCT) certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
