Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at SAVI EHS. The successful candidate will work closely with our Construction Manager to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations on a large commercial construction site in Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance: Assist with ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations on the construction site.
  • Daily EHS Inspections: Conduct documented daily EHS inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Site-Specific EHS Orientation: Deliver site-specific EHS orientation to workers to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Construction Work Plans: Review Construction Work Plans (CWPs) and assist with plan development when needed to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Worker Training and Development: Ensure workers are trained and equipped to perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate incidents to determine root cause and develop corrective and preventative actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Collaboration with Project Leadership: Work closely with the project leadership team to facilitate an injury-free workplace and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Leading and Lagging Indicators: Collect and analyze leading and lagging indicators to determine trends and develop actions to address concerns.
  • ISO 14001/45001 Systems Management: Assist with the management of ISO 14001/45001 systems to ensure compliance with environmental and health and safety regulations.
  • Trade Contractor EHS Partnerships: Partner with trade contractor EHS professionals and participate in the project EHS leadership team to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Client Risk Management: Act as liaison with the client's risk management team to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Positive Reinforcement Program: Assist in managing a positive reinforcement program to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in EHS specializing in construction.
  • Education/Certification: BS/MS in a related field, OSHA 30 hour, OSHA 500/510, ASP/GSP/CSP/CHST/STSC.
