Certified Medication Aide

Oaks Senior Living, LLC is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Medication Aide to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of quality resident care and upholding our residence philosophy. About the Role:
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will provide hands-on supervision of caregiver staff during their shift, ensure the provision of quality resident care, and uphold our residence philosophy and resident well-being. The CMA will properly administer scheduled medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and Oaks Senior Living policy. The CMA will also provide personalized care and services to residents, uphold the Oaks Senior Living policies and procedures, respond effectively to emergency situations, and ensure the residents' rights to safe, prompt, and confidential treatment.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise caregiver staff on duty in providing quality care and meeting the needs of residents in accordance with our philosophy and policies.
• Adhere to each resident's Negotiated Service Plan and notify the Wellness Director, MOD, and/or the Executive Director of any changes in resident condition.
• Answer and respond immediately to resident calls.
• Assist with serving meals and supervise caregiver staff in the dining room.
• Control the spread of infection by following standard precautions.
• Establish and maintain a good relationship with residents and their families.
• Respond to resident emergencies following proper procedures.
Requirements:
• A minimum of one year of experience working with residents in a Senior Living environment.
• Supervisory experience in a healthcare or service industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Friendly, caring disposition. Desire to work with older adults.
• Experience working with Alzheimer's/Dementia older adults.
• Must be 21 years of age. Must have a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Must have physical exam by a licensed physician. Must have a negative drug screen.
• Must be able to react in an emergency situation.
