Process Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence and process improvement initiatives across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with plant staff to identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to implement changes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Investigate product failures and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain a Safety-First mindset in all activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of plant staff.
  • Assist in the development and execution of capital projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Work with R&D to identify new process improvement strategies and implement best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with high-intensity mixing and extrusion technologies of rubber and/or plastics.
  • Familiarity with batch-mixing processes and recipe management software.
  • Experience with enterprise management systems such as SAP and Continuous Improvement tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a process or industrial engineering role.
  • Experience with Environmental and Quality management systems such as ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • 1 – 3 years of prior Banbury Mixer process experience.
