Join our culinary team at Boys and Girls Club of Greater Vergennes as a Youth Nutrition Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with school-aged youth and provide them with nutritious meals and snacks. The selected individual will be responsible for creating a monthly menu calendar with input from the youth, setting up workstations, completing grocery shopping duties, tracking spending, and cooking meals according to food health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare meals according to food health and safety standards.
  • Menu Planning: Create a monthly menu calendar with input from the youth.
  • Grocery Shopping: Complete grocery shopping duties and place food orders for prompt delivery.
  • Spending Tracking: Track spending of money, meals, and students eating meals in the program.

Requirements:

  • A Food Handler Certification is required.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification is also necessary.
  • A High school diploma or GED is needed.
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background check.
  • Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more.

Working Conditions: Part Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt position available. Work location: Vergennes, Vermont. Hours: 25 - 30 hours per week (Typically 1pm- 6:30pm ). Salary: $16/hr. We offer equal opportunities for all candidates.
