Sierra Medical Services Alliance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team. As a Flight Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in critical situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients in critical situations.
- Administer basic, advanced, and critical care life support to patients.
- Assess the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
- Communicate effectively with medical personnel and treatment facilities to obtain instructions and arrange patient transport.
- Maintain order at emergency scenes and request facilities.
- Complete patient care forms, insurance forms, and other necessary documentation.
- Adhere to and follow all safety and contamination policies and procedures.
- Current paramedic certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- ACLS, American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and/or American Heart Association BCLS certification.
- Hazardous Materials R & I certification.
- PALS and Advanced Trauma Course certification.
- FP-C certification within two years of hire.
- NRP or equivalent certification within six months of hire.
- Three years of full-time ALS experience in a high-performance EMS system or equivalent.
The Flight Paramedic will work in a fast-paced emergency medical environment, responding to emergency calls and providing medical care to patients in critical situations. The incumbent must be able to work in a variety of environments, including emergency vehicles, hospitals, and other medical facilities.
Physical Demands:The Flight Paramedic must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. The incumbent must also be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to respond to emergency calls in a timely manner.
