Position Summary:

The Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist (Nurse Educator) for Critical Care is a registered nurse who plays a pivotal role in enhancing the professional capabilities and growth of nursing staff across various environments. This position involves the design, execution, and assessment of educational initiatives tailored for nursing personnel, utilizing nursing theories, adult learning principles, and other relevant methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs aimed at improving nursing practice.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for nursing professionals and program leaders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational activities and make necessary adjustments.
  • Lead initiatives that foster innovation and positive change in nursing practices.

Qualifications:

  • A strong clinical background with a minimum of five years of experience in critical care nursing.
  • A Master's degree from an accredited nursing program is mandatory.
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • Active BLS CPR certification is required.
  • Experience in an academic teaching hospital and a background in nursing education is preferred.
