About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for creating exceptional customer experiences, driving sales, and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain and demonstrate product capabilities to customers, providing personalized recommendations and solutions to meet their needs.
  • Meet or exceed sales, retention, and customer experience targets, consistently delivering high-quality service to our customers.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of our retail store environments, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in workshops, special events, and product demos, showcasing our products and services to customers.
  • Support fellow sales agents, providing guidance and assistance as needed to ensure a cohesive and effective sales team.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings, participating in regular training classes to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area, as needed.
What We Offer

As a Retail Sales Associate with Cox Communications, you will enjoy a competitive compensation package, including a variable targeted total compensation of $48,868 ($23.49/hr.) with high earners reaching an average annual compensation of just over $63,224 ($30.40/hr.). Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively sell products using a consultative, solutions-based approach.
  • Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to be mobile within the store for long periods of time to greet customers and demonstrate products and services.
  • Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college experience with a focus in sales, business, and/or management.
  • One year of experience in a related field, such as sales, retail sales, or service industry.
  • Experience selling wireless/mobile products.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
