Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety Advocacy: Actively prioritize safety for yourself and your team, ensuring all designated plants achieve zero accidents and comply fully with Vulcan's policies and procedures.

  6. Financial Performance Management: Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring assigned plants achieve or surpass financial goals, optimize asset returns, and manage the capital budget for each site to ensure timely completion of capital projects within cost projections.
  7. Mentorship and Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership capabilities by motivating and mentoring all employees, including setting performance expectations and monitoring outcomes.

Essential Skills:

  1. Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years in the aggregates, ready-mix concrete, or asphalt sectors, demonstrating a history of increasing responsibility and successful operational management is preferred.
  2. Leadership and Management Acumen: Ability to provide effective leadership and guidance to both direct and indirect reports, fostering motivation and strong interpersonal relationships.
  3. Operational Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of rock and sand mining, ready-mix concrete, and/or asphalt operations and equipment, along with knowledge of MSHA regulations, engineering principles, and quality control systems.
  4. Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional motivator and team builder, capable of forming strong relationships and effectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Financial Acumen: Proven experience in managing financial performance against established targets, consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.

Salary Range: The base salary for this position ranges from $69,960 to $118,500 annually. This range does not include potential discretionary bonuses or equity packages. Compensation is determined based on various factors, including skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
