Job Summary

Thrive Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Complex Care team. As a CNA, you will provide high-quality care to our clients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical mental health support services, including housekeeping, laundry, food shopping, and transportation.
  • Monitor medications, teach clients effective techniques for managing medications, and assist clients in adhering to prescribed regimens.
  • Monitor signs and symptoms of psychiatric functioning, consult with Registered Nurses and other treatment staff.
  • Take vital signs, monitor patients for bruises, other injuries/wounds, and collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, and doctors.
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and monitoring of nutritional status, coach and assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a hygienic living environment.
  • Assist individuals in transferring from bed to commode to chair, turn or reposition patients who are bedridden, and collaborate with other providers, agencies, and individuals in the client's network of care.
  • Coordinate services within Thrive as needed, assist clients in developing and strengthening their support network to accomplish goals and objectives, and produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation, and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant credentialing and experience required.
  • Minimum (1) year experience in mental health setting working with clients with disabilities preferred.
  • Experience or training in related state and federal assistance programs also preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy skills necessary.
  • Rhode Island certified nursing assistant certification required.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
