If you are prepared to engage in hands-on work and collaborate with a proficient construction crew, Team Elmer's presents an exciting opportunity for you. As an Earthworks Laborer, you will be integral in supporting various construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute physical labor tasks at construction locations, focusing on highway and substantial construction undertakings.
  • Utilize a range of hand and power tools effectively.
  • Employ shovels and machinery for excavation and trenching activities.
  • Prepare and maintain job sites, establish supports, and clear away waste materials.
  • Interpret grade levels, lift substantial items, and transport materials as necessary.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, report any malfunctions, and prioritize safety on-site.
  • Anticipate project requirements, work collaboratively, and assist fellow team members.
  • Manage traffic flow and carry out other assigned tasks as needed.

The responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive, and additional tasks may be assigned as part of the role.

Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience in construction, preferably with mini excavators or skid steer loaders.
  • A valid driver's license is required; a CDL is preferred or the willingness to obtain one within a year.
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A clean driving record for the past 5 years is essential.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings is necessary.
  • Previous experience in manual labor is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in handling power tools, operating heavy machinery, and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • A willingness to learn, adhere to instructions, and work effectively in a team setting.
  • Must be physically capable of working extended hours, lifting heavy items, and adapting to various environmental conditions.
  • A strong work ethic, punctuality, and mechanical aptitude are required.
  • Familiarity with construction materials and safety regulations is beneficial.
