Job Overview
We are a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that has been in operation since 2010, specializing in providing janitorial/sanitation products to our customers.
About the Role
We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to play a crucial role in building new business and maintaining current accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience selling janitorial and sanitation products, specifically to VA Hospitals and government entities.
Responsibilities
- Making outside contact with Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMC) and DoD hospitals to establish contacts, educate on who GPS is, and make appointments for manufacturers.
- Answering incoming calls promptly and professionally to assist customers with placing orders, checking product availability, and providing accurate quotes.
- Utilizing CRM to follow up/reach out to leads to generate new relationships and set meetings with Manufacturers Rep.
- Listening to customer needs, offering suitable products, and providing pricing information to generate sales.
- Accurately entering customer orders into the system, ensuring all details are correct and complete.
- Proactively following up with customers to ensure satisfaction with products and services and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and order details.
Sales Support Training
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer experience.
- Travel to customer sites may be needed on very rare occasions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience (5-8 years) in sales or customer service, preferably in a related industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in sales or related field is a plus.
- Understanding of government contracts a plus.
- Prior military service a plus.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
