Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct geotechnical engineering and project management services for local and regional projects.
  • Perform independent evaluations utilizing standard geotechnical methodologies and technical criteria.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, project plans, and specifications.
  • Oversee and manage tasks assigned to team members.
  • Develop scopes, budgets, task orders, and schedules for project assignments.
  • Prepare proposals for professional services.
  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and Senior Project Managers to review recommendations.
  • Maintain and cultivate client relationships to foster new project opportunities.
  • Participate in client site meetings and effectively communicate with project teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide training to technicians and other technical staff.
  • Conduct on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests as required.
  • Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with solid interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in mathematics, computing, and the ability to interpret work plans.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License with a reliable driving record.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Capability to communicate effectively and discern sounds.
  • Ability to kneel, squat, walk, and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional climbing may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a geotechnical laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with DOT soils laboratory operations.
  • Background in construction materials testing.
  • EIT/FE Certification is highly regarded.
