Endoscopy Technician

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Martin North Hospital in Stuart, Florida. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting in the preparation and execution of endoscopic procedures.

• Assist nurses and physicians in all aspects of GI procedures, including stocking rooms with equipment and supplies and maintaining proper procedures for cleaning and storage of endoscopes.
• Change chemical sterilant and clean scope washer according to policy.
• Prepare and send out scopes for repair after notifying director.
• Assist in the orientation of new personnel to all in-room procedures and to the process for cleaning and disinfection of scopes.
• Perform clerical duties if needed in the absence of the scheduler.
• Transport specimens according to policy using universal precautions.
• Make pre-op calls to patients to obtain preliminary information.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
• One year of experience in a hospital setting.
