Job Overview

Position Summary:
This role is essential for overseeing Community Correction Monitors during designated shifts. The individual will report directly to Security Supervisors, the Security Manager, and the Director of Security, ensuring the efficient functioning of all Security stations and related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the workflows of individual Monitors, including the allocation of tasks and scheduling of breaks.
2. Oversee the movement of reentrants around the clock, ensuring building security and accountability through the strict enforcement of established rules and regulations.
3. Foster a safe environment for both staff and reentrants.

In this capacity, the individual will prioritize both emergency and non-emergency situations, exercising discretion as necessary. The role also includes mentoring and training new personnel, serving as the primary contact within the Security department during the absence of Security Supervisors or in extraordinary circumstances.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency, with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline.
  • A valid Pennsylvania driver's license and clearances under Act 33/34 are required, alongside a strong ethical foundation.

Successful candidates will thrive in a team environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess the ability to remain composed and assertive during crises, maintaining control in various situations. Proficiency in computer skills is essential.
