BAYADA Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers in Dauphin County, Harrisburg, PA. Our volunteers play a vital role in providing emotional support, companionship, and assistance to our clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with home management tasks, such as light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and friendship to clients, engaging in activities that bring joy and comfort.
- Offer caregiver relief, allowing family members to take a break and recharge.
- Participate in specialty areas, such as Veteran-to-Veteran Support, Reiki, Massage, Pet Therapy, Craft Volunteer, End of Life Doula, and more.
- Share special talents, like music or art, to bring happiness and comfort to our clients.
- Assist with clerical work and other office tasks, supporting our team's efforts.
- Help plan memorial services and provide bereavement support to loved ones.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
- Completion of a criminal background check, as required by state regulations.
- Meet all state requirements for volunteers, where applicable.
- Meet BAYADA's requirements and state regulations for the discipline, if providing professional services.
