Position Overview:

Role Summary:
As a member of the Maternal Fetal Medicine department, you will operate from our outpatient facility, maintaining a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with one rotating day off. Enjoy major holidays off, with no on-call duties or weekend shifts. Your responsibilities will include the independent operation of advanced diagnostic equipment to identify complex medical conditions, as well as performing and conveying results of various obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures, including fetal echocardiograms, assessments of fetal anomalies, and high-risk obstetric evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the radiologist in executing specialized invasive diagnostic techniques pertinent to maternal fetal ultrasound. Provide training and standardization for residents regarding these procedures.
2. Consult with patients to assess any contraindications, including medication interactions, inadequate preparation, or the patient's capacity to undergo the procedure.
3. Conduct ultrasound examinations under appropriate supervision, performing essential maternal-fetal evaluations such as detailed anatomical assessments, complete fetal echocardiograms, growth evaluations, and maternal-fetal Doppler assessments.
4. Execute ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and document anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for physician interpretation.
5. Assist the supervising physician with necessary invasive procedures, analyzing sonographic findings throughout the examination to ensure comprehensive data collection.
6. Identify abnormalities that necessitate real-time observation by the radiologist.
7. Capture images while obtaining Doppler signals, recording both along with patient information for radiologist review.
8. Communicate examination results to the radiologist and/or referring OB provider, providing preliminary diagnostic insights regarding maternal-fetal scans.
Additional Information:
Educational Requirements:
Completion of a twelve-month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or an equivalent certification program is mandatory.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Must possess American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registration in OB, OB GYN, and Fetal Echocardiography (FE). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers is also required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
A minimum of three years of experience in performing complex obstetric or vascular ultrasound scans is essential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of ultrasound techniques and patient care principles.
