Position Overview
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated Sales Representative to enhance the distribution and marketing of lottery products across the designated area. This role is vital in supporting our mission to generate revenue for K-12 public education through innovative sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust network of retail partners.
- Manage assigned territories effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
- Provide comprehensive training to retailers on product offerings and sales techniques.
- Utilize technology for inventory management and ordering processes.
- Implement and assess promotional programs to drive retailer engagement.
- Evaluate performance based on sales metrics and other key indicators.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in sales, marketing, and merchandising.
- Strong background in inventory management and route sales.
- Excellent customer relationship skills and territory management experience.
- Proficiency in using automated ordering systems or computers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in route sales and territory management.
Additional Information
Applicants must be willing to reside within a 50-mile radius of the business center of the assigned area. A background investigation will be conducted, and a valid Driver's License is required for this position.
