Join the Team at Search Inc.: Seeking a Manager for Supported Living Services

Are you a passionate and empathetic leader with a commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities? Search Inc. is looking for a Supported Living Services Manager to oversee multiple program locations, ensuring the highest quality of care and support.

Role Responsibilities: In this managerial position, you will be tasked with supervising services and supports for individuals across various Supported Living Program sites. Your duties will include the timely completion of service planning documentation, addressing medical care needs, and upholding quality standards at each location. Collaboration with departments such as Adult Learning, Medical, and Behavioral Health will be essential, along with on-call responsibilities.

We are currently seeking a full-time Supported Living Services Manager. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Compensation: $68,000-$72,000 annually

Key Duties:

  • Administrative and professional management,
  • Support the mission and values of Search Inc.,
  • Act as a mentor and role model for staff, fostering skill development,
  • Exhibit leadership by promoting teamwork and problem-solving across the organization,
  • Represent Search Inc. professionally to families, guardians, and community members,
  • Engage actively in committees and task forces,
  • Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines,
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary team meetings for individuals on your caseload,
  • Ensure service plans are executed as specified,
  • Train staff in individualized behavioral approaches,
  • Oversee documentation and recordkeeping for individual progress,
  • Maintain accurate individual information in the Harmony system,
  • Facilitate medical appointments and follow-up care,
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator on incident reports,
  • Adhere to personnel policies outlined in the employee handbook,
  • Manage employee schedules and approve leave requests,
  • Provide on-call support during nights and weekends as needed,
  • Understand and comply with corporate policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Ensure incident reports are processed according to policy,
  • Follow vehicle safety protocols and maintenance reporting,
  • Complete 12 continuing education credits annually as required,
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Individual Engagement:

  • Exhibit kindness, flexibility, and responsiveness to individual needs,
  • Ensure medical needs are met compassionately and efficiently,
  • Participate in developing behavioral approaches and tracking,
  • Provide continuous supervision and advocacy during medical appointments,
  • Offer supportive counseling and conflict resolution during crises.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field,
  • Compliance with DHS requirements for QIDP in Illinois,
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred,
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards,
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 44 lbs. and perform physical tasks,
  • Basic computer skills,
  • CPR and First Aid certification,
  • Valid driver's license and insurance,
  • Ability to be certified as a driver through PACE Vanpool.
