Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surveillance & Access Control Technician to join our team at ARK Systems, Inc. in Salisbury, MD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain low-voltage computer and network-based electronic systems, including fire, security, card access, door entry, paging/sound, telecommunication, video, and other electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures with computers, networks, and associated systems to ensure proper working order.
  • Work with clients' IT departments to interface computer-based solutions offered by ARK Systems.
  • Interface with vendors and manufacturer's representatives to resolve operating systems issues.
  • Write scripts, files, and programs to enhance and provide proper end-user results for a completely functional system.
Requirements
  • Minimum of AA degree in electronics, computer sciences, or equivalent technical school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of related industry experience.
  • COMPTIA A+ certification.
  • Network+ certification.
  • SQL certification.
  • COMPTIA Linux + or equivalent certification.
  • Microsoft (MCP) Microsoft Certified Professional).
  • Windows Server certification.
  • LINUX certifications.
  • Cisco certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician licenses as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs.
  • Must be willing to work at heights.
  • Must be able to operate electrical tools.
  • Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
