Job Summary

College of the Canyons is seeking a highly qualified Graphic Design Instructor to join our adjunct faculty pool. As a Graphic Design Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching graphic design courses to students at our Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach graphic design courses, including Graphic Design for Print and Specialty in Type and Typography
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to improve student outcomes
  • Participate in department and college-wide committees to contribute to curriculum development and program improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and technologies
Requirements
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Graphic Design
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent
  • OR - Any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent
Working Conditions

Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
