Job Opportunity

A pediatric specialty group in the Virginia area is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join their team. The successful candidate will provide specialized anesthesia care for a wide variety of children with complex congenital heart disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality anesthesia care to pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with the cardiac surgical team, cath labs, and EP lab to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer anesthesia during cardiac procedures and surgeries, utilizing appropriate techniques and monitoring equipment.
  • Develop and implement anesthetic plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Manage and treat any anesthesia-related complications or emergencies that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a fellowship in pediatric cardiac anesthesia or extensive experience in congenital cardiac anesthesia.
  • Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiologists and Pediatric Anesthesiologists board-certified, or in the process of completing an ACGME fellowship.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply for this position.
