We seek a senior software engineer capable of spearheading the development of innovative reporting and platform functionalities to enhance the user-facing reporting experience at Square.

Core Responsibilities

As the foundational transactional record at Square, Orders serve as the backbone of the data that sellers utilize to analyze, comprehend, and enhance their business performance.

Merchants depend on our platforms and experiences to gain insights into real-time business analysis, as well as to explore long-term trends and insights. The ability to connect real-time transactional systems with batch and analytical systems is a significant advantage for this role.

Your Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate with Product and stakeholders across Square to ascertain platform requirements, and work within the engineering team to plan and execute the corresponding features.
  • Contribute high-quality hands-on work across multiple codebases.
  • Define technical and architectural end states for the project, influencing and evolving the codebase in those directions.
  • Drive impact through technical leadership and mentorship throughout the team.
