Prestige Clinic, a leading provider of behavioral health services, is seeking a licensed therapist LCSW or LPC to join its team in Allen, TX.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and compassionate therapist to provide clinical interventions, assessments, and counseling services to patients and families. The ideal candidate will have experience in group therapy and be certified in Basic Life Support and non-violent crisis intervention.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical interventions, including group, individual, and family therapy, in accordance with the physician's plan of treatment.
- Assess and reassess social and emotional factors to help patients and families cope with problems in daily living.
- Develop and implement treatment plans with the multidisciplinary clinical team, physician, patient, and family.
- Counsel patients, families, and caregivers on the facilitation of the medical plan of treatment.
- Recognize and utilize community and family resources to assist clients in long-term plans for life in the community or to learn to live with their disability.
- Document individualized multidisciplinary progress notes and group progress notes with accuracy, timeliness, and according to policies.
- Submit accurate documentation within mandated time frames.
- Stay up-to-date with mental health and therapy trends and knowledge, participating in in-service programs and providing staff education as requested.
- Conduct and document a minimum of three billable psychotherapy services per day, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy as ordered by the physician.
- Complete psychosocial assessments by the 3rd day of treatment.
- Ensure family contact, if applicable, is made within 24 hours of admission.
- Serve as a liaison in the community as needed.
- Advocate for patient rights, confidentiality, ethical issues, complaints, and participate in care.
- Facilitate case management services and coordinate discharge planning with other multidisciplinary treatment team members for all assigned patients.
- Maintain awareness of indicators in client behavior, communicate changes to the other multidisciplinary treatment team members, and document these issues in the Master Treatment Plan.
- Facilitate psycho-education groups as needed, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all groups facilitated.
- Participate in PI clinical record audits as delegated by facility leadership.
- Adhere to the code of ethics as defined by State licensure codes of ethics.
- Maintain universal precautions while administering care to clients and be knowledgeable of policies, procedures, and protocol regarding infection control.
- Follow all facilities policies and procedures.
- Must be licensed by the State where your hiring facility is located by either LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
- 1 year of group therapy experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support required.
- Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.
