Prosthetist Orthotist Specialist

Pacific Medical Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Prosthetist Orthotist Specialist to join our team at our Modesto, CA Patient Care Facility.

We are looking for a dedicated professional to evaluate, fabricate, and custom fit artificial limbs and orthopedic braces. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

• Examine and interview patients to determine their appliance needs and identify factors that could affect appliance fit.
• Fabricate and fit devices on patients, making adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort.
• Instruct patients on the use and care of orthoses and prostheses.
• Design orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on physicians' prescriptions and examination and measurement of patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with ABC and CMS standards.
• Construct and fabricate appliances or supervise others who are constructing the appliances.
• Train and supervise orthopedic and prosthetic assistants and technicians.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in the field.

• Must have completed a residency program accredited by NCOPE.
• Must have completed a master's degree in prosthetics from a program accredited by the CAAHEP.
• Must maintain CME's annually in accordance with ABC and BOC guidelines.
• Must practice within your scope of work unless privileged by a supervisor or practitioner of another specialty.
• Must adhere to the guidelines as set forth in the employee handbook of Pacific Medical Inc. upon hire.
• Must attend and show competency in HIPAA compliance, sexual harassment training, and universal precautions training.

Pacific Medical Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
