About the Role

The Hotel Room Attendant is a key member of our housekeeping team at Courtyard NY Manhattan. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms to the highest standards, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including setting up the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies and linens.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  • Keep all hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for our guests.
  • Restock the housekeeping cart for the next day's use, ensuring a smooth and efficient cleaning process.
  • Replenish chemical bottles and report any maintenance repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  • Handle items for Lost and Found according to our standards, providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction, responding promptly to any guest requests or concerns.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be able to stand during entire shift, maintaining a high level of energy and productivity.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
