Role Summary

The Enterprise Data & Analytics Team at Rivian plays a crucial role in enabling our Commercial and Enterprise teams, including Sales, Service, Finance, Accounting, People, Facilities, and senior leaders, by crafting a data-driven strategy and implementing it in partnership with our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and analytics platforms (ELT) to provide stakeholders with structured access to data.
  • Build, scale, and maintain large-scale data pipelines from internal and external data sources into our datalake on Databricks, including the creation of bronze, silver, and gold tables.
  • Develop a modular set of data services using Python, SQL, DBT, Airflow, AWS services, and other tools.
  • Automate and schedule jobs using Managed Airflow or similar tools.
  • Implement observability on pipelines to ensure accuracy of high-priority datasets using tools such as DataDog, CloudWatch, and Montecarlo.
  • Support the platform consolidation initiative by collaborating with extended teams to move data and pipelines from Redshift to Databricks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data with a deep understanding of data engineering best practices and data warehousing principles.
  • Expertise in analytics tech stack and scripting/automation, including Databricks, Fivetran, SQL, Python, DBT, and Git.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as S3, ECS, EMR, lambdas, and Glue.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to partner effectively with extended teams and stakeholders.
