CNC Machinist Specialist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Specialist

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC Turning Machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with mold making and machining, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program CNC Lathe for machining new jobs and repair work
• Set up CNC Lathe after programming
• Remove finished components and install new components for machining
• Ensure quality and accuracy of machined parts
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment
• Assist in machine maintenance as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Trade school and/or 6+ years mold making and machining experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience programming in Surf-Cam or equivalent CAD/CAM software
• Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
• Experience turning hardened tool steels
• Capable of holding tight tolerances on injection mold components
• Capable of programming and machining complex 3D surfaces
