About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Calvary Albuquerque. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing general maintenance and performing a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep of our buildings and campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain buildings, grounds, and landscaping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our community.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and flooring work.
  • Provide plumbing services as needed, including repairs and installations.
  • Use basic carpentry skills to perform tasks such as drywall installation, taping, and texturing.
  • Lay tile, wood, and vinyl flooring as needed.
  • Construct with metal framing as needed.
  • Perform pool and fountain maintenance, including cleaning and repairs.
  • Work services as scheduled, including routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist on special projects as needed, working collaboratively with other team members.
Requirements
  • Experience in property and facility maintenance, preferably in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
  • Basic mechanical skills, including plumbing and carpentry.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in software used for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and multitasking as needed.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, accepting direction and feedback from supervisors.
  • Physical strength necessary to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with electrical and wired systems, including HVAC systems.
  • Pays close attention to detail, ensuring accurate and thorough work.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with health and safety precautions, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Exhibits solid time management skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Capable of adapting repair skills and mechanical knowledge to a wide range of different requests.
  • Has a valid driver's license, with ability to operate mechanical and landscaping equipment.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with others, describing problems and solutions involved in maintenance requests.
Work Environment

This role may involve working in a variety of settings, including indoors and outdoors, depending on the specific maintenance request. Temperatures will vary according to season and work site. Tasks may involve moderate to heavy physical labor, including walking, climbing, standing, sitting, and lifting.

This is a full-time position, requiring a commitment to regular working hours and availability for on-call duties as needed.
