Job Summary

The Pump Mechanic performs various tasks under the supervision of the Superintendent. This role is responsible for pump and motor repairs at all lift stations and water plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and diagnose problems with water pumps, sewage pumps, and pump and motor electrical systems.
  • Operate light construction equipment and bucket trucks.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Write reports and prepare business letters, summaries, and expositions.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and projects.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Texas Class "B" Commercial driver's license.
  • Valid State of Texas Class II Collections license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
