The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the store manager with the oversight of sales, operational functions, asset protection, and human resources to guarantee an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops weekly staffing schedules to ensure adequate floor coverage within budgetary constraints; verifies time sheets and payroll documentation for precision and submits as necessary.
- Enhances customer service by ensuring team members are engaging and assisting customers; addresses customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Oversees team members involved in sales, inventory management, cash handling, or providing customer services.
- Demonstrates sales expectations by employing various techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; suggests merchandise options or assists in locating items based on customer preferences.
- Maintains an attractive store environment, ensuring cleanliness, visual merchandising, and organization are upheld to the highest standards.
- Educates team members on visual merchandising practices to ensure the store is consistently well-presented.
- Tracks team sales performance and productivity; acknowledges and communicates performance to team members; inspires and trains associates to reach their full potential.
- Executes all financial transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy, including cash handling, price adjustments, and merchandise management; ensures all register operations are performed correctly and in compliance with policy.
- Manages all operational processes including inventory receipt and dispatch, daily restocking of merchandise, and preparation for physical inventory counts.
- Facilitates and oversees the overall operations of the store, ensuring that it is well-maintained and functioning efficiently for safe operations.
- Ensures adherence to all relevant laws, loss prevention protocols, operational procedures, and controls; conducts training for team members as needed to reinforce proper compliance.
- Assists in the recruitment, hiring, and development of store personnel; interprets key performance indicator reports and provides coaching as necessary; offers feedback to the Store Manager for employee performance evaluations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred minimum of 3 years of prior experience in retail or sales management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel to various locations as needed.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with the administrative aspects of store operations.
- Ability to communicate with customers, stand and move on the sales floor and in the stockroom, operate the register, lift and carry up to 30 pounds, handle and fold merchandise, climb, reach, and push/pull as necessary.
- Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage for company objectives.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
