About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishroom Assistant at Nando's Peri Peri. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our food and beverages are presented to our customers in a sparkling clean and sanitized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Dish Machines and Pot Sinks: Ensure that all dish machines and pot sinks are operated in accordance with company and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain Sanitation Standards: Use proper measurements of all chemicals, including detergent and sanitizer, to maintain the highest level of sanitation in the dishroom and pot sink areas.
  • Alert Management: Notify management when facility items require repair or service to prevent any disruptions to our operations.
  • Restock and Clean: Restock all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans, and break down, clean, and sanitize the dish machine and pot sinks at the end of each shift.
  • Keep Storage Areas Clean: Maintain a clean and organized environment in the dishroom and storage areas.
Requirements
  • Basic Sanitary Knowledge: Ability to learn and practice basic sanitary guidelines, dish machine, and pot sink operations.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to physically handle knives, pots, and other items, as well as grasp, lift, and carry up to 80 pounds to every area of the kitchen.
  • Kitchen Equipment: Ability to properly use and handle various kitchen machinery, including dishwashers, slicers, ovens, stoves, grinders, mixers, and other kitchen-related equipment.
  • Chemical Handling: Ability to properly use and handle various chemicals.
