Job Title: Laundry Technician II

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Technician II to join our team at West Tennessee Healthcare. As a key member of our laundry services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our commercial laundry equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weigh, sort, and count bio-hazard soiled linens from affiliates and record on the proper report.
  • Load bio-hazard soiled linens into the chute for washers.
  • Wrap linen and load carts according to pick ticket ironer and in dry fold area.
  • Fold linens that are processed through the flatwork ironer and in dry fold area.
  • Assist washroom personnel as needed or required, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Transport linens to and from affiliate operations to JMCGH Laundry.
  • Send linen through flatwork ironers and small piece folders.
  • Load and unload linens from tumblers.
  • Transport linen carts to areas within the hospital.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
  • Operate PLC-ran equipment in the department.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Tennessee Driver's license.
  • General knowledge of commercial laundry equipment.
