Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer Test to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Integration and Test team, you will be responsible for planning and executing GN&C level integration, test, and checkout activities for the Sentinel program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Test Requirements and Objectives: Utilize Systems Engineering principles to define test requirements and objectives.
  • Integrate Hardware and Software: Integrate hardware from sub-system teams, interface with other elements teams, and the system and segment level teams.
  • Perform System Integration and Verification: Perform system integration, verification, and validation, and functional & performance analyses for an integrated guidance system.
  • Test Equipment Design and Execution: Design, develop, and execute test equipment systems solutions, including test plans, procedures, and reporting.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering: Apply model-based Systems Engineering principles and tools (e.g., DOORS, Cameo) to support system development and testing.
  • Guidance Systems Expertise: Leverage expertise in guidance systems in aerospace applications to verify system functionality and performance in various scenarios and conditions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including customers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 14 years of relevant experience, or 12 years with a Master's degree, or 9 years with a PhD.
  • Clearance: US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher, with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • Skills: Strong Systems Engineering background, model-based Systems Engineering, guidance systems expertise, test equipment design, and effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • US Citizenship with Top-Secret Clearance: US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher, with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • ICBM and DOD Program Experience: Experience with ICBMs (MM, PK, Small Missile) or DOD programs.
  • Guidance Systems Expertise: Experienced with Guidance Systems for ICBMs.
  • Systems Engineering Background: Strong Systems Engineering background and understanding of Systems Engineering concepts.
  • Tools and Technologies: Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
