RN Operating Room Circulator PRN

The Registered Nurse, in the operating room, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.
Key Responsibilities- Provides nursing care and service during surgery cases
- Positions the patient, preps the patient, and circulates the case
- Works as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team
- Maintains scrupulous infection control standards
- Has the ability to prioritize tasks and flexibility as job priorities change
- Weekdays only
- No Holidays
- No Weekends
- No Calls
- Some later evenings are required

Requirements for Success- Determines data collection based on the patient's condition or needs as related to the proposed interventions
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and flexibility as job priorities change

- Work is accurate and complete
- Demonstrates knowledge and follows AORN standards
- Functions as a team member
- Completes initial and annual competencies as required
- Maintains licenses and certifications
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Attends required department and hospital meetings
- Current GA Nursing License
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families
- Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to the operating room
- Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric
- 2 years Orthopedic experience

If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
